As a photographer, I have the honor of capturing these fleeting moments, where time seems to stand still, and the world fades into the background. Breastfeeding is more than a biological act; it is an exchange of love, trust, and comfort, a sacred dance between mother and baby.
Every mother’s journey with breastfeeding is unique. Some find it effortless, while others navigate challenges along the way. Yet, within every experience lies a shared tenderness—the way a mother gazes at her child, the tiny fingers curled around her skin, the deep sense of connection that words can’t quite capture. These are the moments I seek to preserve.
Through my lens, I strive to highlight the raw beauty of these interactions. The soft glow of natural light illuminating a mother’s embrace, the serene expression of a nursing baby, the quiet strength in a mother’s posture—all of these details tell a story of devotion. Each image becomes a testament to the beauty of motherhood, an intimate portrait of love in its purest form.
Breastfeeding is more than sustenance; it is a language of closeness, a bridge between two hearts. Me llamó Mayra y soy madre de 3 varones, ya tenía tiempo considerándolo en realizar una sesión fotográfica así de intima con alguno de mis hijos.
Creo que el vínculo entre madre e hijo es lo mas fuerte y bello que puede haber en este plano terrenal.
Gracias a Dios eh alimentado a Noah por lactancia materna por 7 meses y sin duda es una etapa que me encata. La lactancia materna no es fácil púes con lleva bastante dolor los primeros días y quiza los primeros 3 meses de vida de tu bebe. Tambien esta el desvelarse etc... pero TODO, ABSOLUTAMENTE TODO VALE LA PENA. Púes no hay nada mas gratificante que tener esa conexión con tu hijo, el estar piel con piel y saber que tu cuerpo es capaz de producir alimento para tu hijo.
Esta experiencia no pudo ser mejor capturada. Gravias a Ofelia por haber tomado estas imagenes con tanto respeto y honor a nosotraslas madres que damos lactancia. Por haber tomado de su tiempo, y haber creado arte con esto tan hermoso que es el conectar con tu hijo/a en una manera surreal.

This photoshoot was so so special to me. I am a first-time mama to a beautiful 10-month-old, and breastfeeding was a tough journey for me at first, with cracked and bleeding nipples, being on a strict schedule to pumping, to rock hard boobs EVERY 2-3 hours, it was so tough. Postpartum was also something I struggled with after pregnancy for sure, and although it was tough, it always made me feel like a good mama, being able to provide so much that my baby needs made me feel like I was doing a good job during those times. Ofelia made me feel so empowered and beautiful, not only as a mom but also as a woman I am! To be able to look back at all these memories and milestones and think, “We made it out of the breastfeeding stage,” and have something to remember it by is so special to me because I know I’m going to miss it one day
